We maintain several lists, each with a distinct listing policy. Most of these are for managing lists of systems which have chosen to violate or ignore the standards upon which the open Internet was built, and which exist to ensure that all users and system administrators can communicate with each other without unnecessary effort. Many of these lists, with the exception of the elitist list, were copied from RFC Ignorant prior to their decission to cease operation and we have decided to maintain their listing criteria in most aspects for consistency.
We also have meta-lists if you would like to query multiple lists at once.
RFC Clueless does not itself force any system adminstrator or user to reject mail. We provide a list of systems which, through either negligience or malacice, are configured in ways that could be harmful to the larger Internet. Users may choose to use these lists as part of a larger anti-spam check, on their own, or ignore them outright.
If you are listed, please see the removal process page for more information about becoming unlisted.
